Stephen Platt speaks at Crans Montana Forum at National Assembly in Paris
Invited to appear on a panel of speakers including Jeffrey Owens, Head of Tax Policy for the OECD Stephen Platt made the case for stricter criteria to identify quality offshore finance centres to delegates from over 50 countries. Mr Platt said that the 12 TIEA criteria that had been used by the G20 in 2009 was too weak and had represented a missed opportunity for quality centres such as Jersey to distinguish themselves as the ’diamonds in the dirt’.
